The non-profit CCC, based in Gainesville, Florida,
is the world's oldest sea turtle research and
conservation organization. CCC was founded in 1959
under the scientific direction of celebrated
ecologist and author Dr. Archie Carr. Its mission
is to ensure the long-term survival of sea turtles
in the Wider Caribbean and Atlantic through
research, education, advocacy and protection of
the habitats upon which they depend. For more
